WWOOFing at Catchtail Gardens

Catchtail Gardens welcomes WWOOFers* from time to time to join us in our adventure.

What is WWOOFing? Here's how the WWOOF web site explains it:

WWOOF: World-Wide Opportunities on Organic Farms
WWOOF is dedicated to helping those who would like to volunteer on organic farms. The aims of WWOOF are to ...

  • enable people to learn first-hand about organic growing techniques
  • to enable town-dwellers to experience living and helping on a farm
  • to help farmers make organic production a viable alternative
  • to improve communications within the organic movement.

Contact us if you are interested in WWOOFing.

A tribute to past WWOOFers:

Bastou ~ April - September 2006

Bastou was inspired to spend time with us in part apply his permaculture and organic gardening knowledge, but also to gain further carpentry skills - which was perfect timing, since we had plenty of home projects to handle before the arrival of litte Talise in October.

YES - he stayed with us for a long time, and we didn't want to let him go again! But alas, he has more adventures ahead of him with his sweetheart Bonita, and we can only hope to lure him back again in the future.

Lindsay & Scott ~ Jan. 29 - Feb. 2, 2007

Thank you for the wonderful work you did in the front garden beds, around the arbor and the hard work you put in tidying up our potted rootstock and grafted trees. We loved the evening together around the fire - have fun with that guitar and banjo at the open mics as you travel east!
